I participated in the Quantum Systems Engineering group project 2003 to write the Grid-enabled distributed quantum computer simulator
It used XML over TCP/IP to exchange simulation fragments between computation cluster nodes. This provides the fastest simulation available using common PC's and networking hardware using massively parallel matrix calculations.
It shows the result of the quantum calculations as a graph representing the probability of the various outcomes. This allows a quantum program in development to be tuned to maximise the probability of desired result.
Here is the Induction Furnace calculator for Induction Services.
It produces a range of results for given furnace parameters to guide the operator into selecting the correct upgrade components for the furnace.
